Lotus Studio is a peaceful sanctuary where you are invited to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply be. Here, every treatment is offered with care and intention, creating space for your body to relax, restore, and gently heal. Here, healing is never rushed; it unfolds naturally, allowing your body to relax, restore, and gently rebalance in its own time.
My wish is for each person who walks through the door to feel welcomed, valued, and truly cared for. I take pride in providing a professional yet heartfelt environment where clients of all ages can feel safe, supported, and renewed.
What to Expect
Your time at Savasana Therapies is held as a ritual of rest, presence, and care. From the moment you arrive, the pace begins to soften, inviting you to step out of the external world and into a space of quiet attention.
Arrival
You’ll be welcomed into a calm, grounded environment designed to support relaxation and ease. Before your treatment begins, we’ll have a brief conversation to understand how you’re feeling in your body and what you need on the day. This helps shape the session so it meets you where you are. As we speak, you’ll be invited to wash your hands, while I gently wash your feet as a cleansing and warming ritual—an intentional transition into your treatment.
During the Ritual
Each treatment unfolds slowly and intuitively, guided by your breath and the natural flow of energy through the body. Touch may range from soft and nurturing to deep and purposeful, depending on the ritual you’ve chosen and your individual needs. Throughout the session, you are welcome to rest in silence, follow your breath, or simply let go. Silence is welcomed, but communication is equally valued.
Breath & Energy
Breath is gently encouraged as an anchor throughout your treatment. I will only speak if I notice you holding your breath, offering a soft reminder to breathe and lengthen your exhale. This supports the parasympathetic nervous system, helping the body soften and settle—especially if sensations become more intense.
After the Ritual
Following your treatment, you’ll be given a few moments to rest and reorient before returning to the outer world. It’s common to feel deeply relaxed, grounded, or quietly energised. Drinking water and allowing space in your day can help integrate the effects of the session.
A Note on Comfort & Consent
Your comfort is always central. Pressure, pace, and techniques can be adjusted at any time—you’re encouraged to share what feels supportive for you. Each session is a collaborative experience, held with respect, care, and attentiveness.
Pre-Session Preparation
To receive the most from your treatment, you’re invited to arrive with a spirit of openness and ease:
- Please arrive a few minutes early to allow your body and breath to settle.
- Avoid heavy meals and alcohol for at least two hours before your session.
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Thai yoga massage is performed fully clothed, while oil treatments involve undressing to your level of comfort.
- Take a few conscious breaths before you arrive, setting a simple intention to rest, receive, and be supported.
If there is anything you’d like to share—physical concerns, injuries, sensitivities, or preferences around pressure—this will be discussed before your treatment begins.
Post-Treatment Integration
Your treatment continues beyond the mat. Allowing time and space afterwards helps the body integrate the work and deepen its effects:
- Rise slowly and take a few moments before standing, letting awareness return gently.
- Drink plenty of water to support circulation and release.
- If possible, keep the rest of your day spacious and unhurried.
- You may notice sensations such as deep calm, lightness, warmth, emotional release, or renewed energy—all natural responses as the body recalibrates.
In the hours or days following your session, rest, gentle movement, and conscious breathing can help anchor the benefits. Trust your body’s wisdom as it continues to unfold and settle.
Consent & Boundaries
At Savasana Therapies, every treatment is held with deep respect for your body, boundaries, and lived experience. Consent is an ongoing, shared dialogue throughout your session.
You are always in control of your treatment. Pressure, pace, positioning, and techniques can be adjusted at any time, and you are encouraged to speak up if something does not feel supportive.
Silence is welcomed, but communication is equally valued.
You will be appropriately draped during oil treatments, with only the areas being worked on uncovered. Undressing is always to your comfort level, and your modesty is honoured at all times.
This is a non-judgemental, professional, and safe space. Touch is offered solely for therapeutic and restorative purposes, within clear ethical and professional boundaries.
